Enjoy an evening where we are offering vegan and vegetarian
options in addition to our regular menu.

- Friday, July 30th, Silver Creek Chapter O.E.S. will be
holding its annual HOMEMADE ICE CREAM SOCIAL at the Masonic
Temple, 113 S.Cody Rd. LeClaire. Serving from 4-7 p.m. Also
being served: sloppy joe's, hot dogs, chips, baked beans,
coleslaw, pies, cakes & 4 different flavors of homemade ice
cream! Donations accepted and the proceeds go to the Star Gifts
for Kids & Senior Angels for Christmas gift giving to families
in the LeClaire & Princeton area.

Pelican & Wildlife Photography & Viewing Opportunities at Lock & Dam 14, LeClaire
Nature photographers and bird watchers will be delighted with
the opportunities at Lock and Dam #14 on the Mississippi River
in LeClaire to capture amazing photos and sightings of Bald
Eagles in the Winter months and Pelicans that call Le Claire
"home" during the Spring and Summer months.
Eagles start to gather around the Lock and Dam on the South
Side of LeClaire as soon as the ice starts forming in December
and stay around through late February and early March.
Pelican start to soar around
the skies of LeClaire in mid-March.

- August 12-14, 2010 TUGFEST LeClaire's biggest event
of the year featuring a tug-of-war across the Mississippi River
against Port Byron, Illinois. Featuring a carnival, concessions,
huge fireworks,

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TUG FEST! The Chamber is inviting
members and non-members to take part in a LeClaire tradition - -
- TugFest! But, we’re not asking you to “tug”. . we’re asking
you to have fun by volunteering in the Beverage Tent, or the
Information Booth. Both positions mean you’ll see your friends
and neighbors, and add to the hospitality that LeClaire is known
for! Call Debbie Mulvania at 289-2265 to volunteer today!
If you’ve volunteered in the past, you know it’s fun, and you
may already know what shifts you prefer! Volunteer for one
or more TWO hour shifts:
Information Tent: __ Saturday 10AM-12noon or __ 12– 2PM
__ 2-4PM __ 4-6PM __ 6-8PM __ 8-10PM
Beverage Tent: __ Thursday 6-8PM __ 8-11PM
__ Friday 10AM- 12noon __ 12noon – 2PM __ 2- 4PM __ 4-6PM __
6-8PM __ 8-10PM and __ 10PM-midnight.

- Sunday, August 29th: The Buffalo Bill Museum’s Annual
Twilight River Boat Dinner Cruise Fundraiser Don’t miss this
popular end-of-summer event - - - a three hour, prime rib dinner
cruise on the Twilight River Boat in LeClaire! The cost is only
$55 per person and includes free admission to the museum the
afternoon before the cruise. Boarding is at 3:30 pm and leaves
the dock at 4:00 pm. This event has been popular in the past and
is a great chance for you to socialize with your friends and
neighbors while supporting the museum. Get tickets from any

It's a Parade...It's a Costume Contest....It's Fun for ALL
ages! Please join us in Le Claire, October 30th, for our 7th
Annual Witches Walk. This FREE family event includes a costume
contest, a parade up and down Cody Road, prizes, candy, a
witch's cackle contest, music, face painting, children's games,
pumpkin decorating, a dog costume contest, treat bags, cookies,
hot chocolate and much more!
Dogs are also invited to the Witches Walk festivities for a
costume contest, games and prizes!
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. More information
